Elissa, Queen of Carthage

The Queen enters carrying a bowl of wine. Her costume is based on designs from the opera Hannibal Triumphant, in Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera.

Media: Head, arms and bare legs of Super Sculpey, on a wire armature with a cloth body. She has long brown mohair with a gold bead and chain circlet. Her underskirt is purple chiffon under long blue and red fringe. Her overskirt panels are metallic floral brocade with red and gold trim, and gold beaded fringe. Her bodice is alternating panels of red and dark blue velveteen, with gold edging at sleeves and neckline. Her girdle is magenta brocade with gold trim and gold beads. She has purple chiffon veils  suspended from her sleeves.
